Ormerods around the British Isles

Although the vast majority of Ormerods remained in the Lancashire area, many moved to other areas of the British Isles, and this is reflected in the records of the International Genealogical Index.

Clicking on the links below will take you to maps of British counties, showing places where references to Ormerods are recorded, along with the date of the earliest record found. The size of the circle representing a place reflects the number of Ormerod records for that location.

'0' given as the date of the earliest record means that an IGI record exists but no date has been recorded for it.

You can also download the relevant IGI records from each of the county pages.

Please note that some of the information submitted to the IGI is from individuals rather than the actual parish records, and the information should therefore be used as a guide only.

Where further information about Ormerods in a particular county has been found, this can also be accessed by clicking on the links below.

At the present time there are no links for Lancashire, Yorkshire or London. This is because of the sheer volume of IGI entries for Ormerods in these locations, but it is hoped to add this information in the future.

Where other counties have been omitted (e.g. Cornwall or Cambridgeshire) this is because there were no Ormerod entries found in the IGI.
